The Foundation of Adventure: Building the INEOS Grenadier
Here at Red Noland INEOS Grenadier, we know that drivers demand a vehicle that can handle anything our diverse terrain throws its way. That’s why we’re excited to showcase the INEOS Grenadier, a 4×4 built from the ground up with a focus on rugged capability and unwavering reliability.
There’s a buzz in the air about the Grenadier, and for good reason. It’s not just another SUV; it’s a purpose-built off-roader designed to conquer the most challenging environments. INEOS set out to create a vehicle using a classic 4×4 blueprint, and the result is truly impressive.
A Backbone of Steel: The Ladder Frame Chassis
INEOS chose a ladder frame as the foundation of the Grenadier, the only choice for a proper off-road vehicle. Ladder frames have been the core of iconic off-roaders for over seventy years, starting with the Willys Jeep, a testament to their enduring strength.
The full box frame of the INEOS Grenadier
INEOS chose not to use a unibody frame because they were not building an SUV, but an off-road vehicle, emphasizing their commitment to true off-road engineering.
The Grenadier’s ladder frame is designed to be strong, stiff, rugged, and reliable – ready for the mud, sand, rocks, and snow. It’s also ideal for attaching essential equipment like heavy-duty underbody protection and winches, crucial for tackling tough trails.
INEOS partnered with a highly experienced vehicle manufacturing company to create this robust ladder frame, ensuring it can withstand the harshest conditions. The bottom line? The Grenadier’s ladder frame is super strong and a time-tested 4×4 platform, ready to support adventurers, explorers, and anyone who needs a vehicle to work hard.
Unstoppable Strength: Beam Axles
To ensure the Grenadier can handle punishing conditions, INEOS engineers opted for beam axles front and rear.
Why beam axles you might ask? Beam axles are the most vigorous design that INEOS could provide for the Grenadier.
INEOS carefully selected Carraro, a company with a long history of building tough four-wheel-drive vehicles, including tractors, to supply the Grenadier’s axles.
While there was debate about independent suspension versus beam axles, the engineers concluded that beam axles offer superior robustness, less vulnerability to damage, and greater reliability when the going gets tough – essential for off-road adventures.
The Grenadier Difference
Beam axles, a box section ladder frame, and a commitment to no-compromise engineering – that’s the foundation of the INEOS Grenadier. INEOS started with a blank sheet of paper, designing and building the Grenadier from the ground up, with every component chosen by top-tier engineers.
