Over a beer at the Grenadier pub in London, INEOS Chairman and 4X4 enthusiast Sir Jim Ratcliffe had an idea. The vision for a stripped-back, no-nonsense, utilitarian 4X4 was born.
Ratcliffe had these three priorities in mind when coming up the Grenadier: Reliability, Off Road Capability, and Looks.

BMW Engine
The Grenadier features an enhanced 3.0L BMW straight-six engine. It delivers peak low-rev torque for sustained momentum and control on any terrain, producing 282 BHP and 332 lb-ft torque.
Ladder Frame
The Grenadier is built on a rigid, strong, full box-sectioned ladder-frame chassis with maximum corrosion protection and a 12-year warranty, providing the stable foundation essential for reliable off-road performance.
Permanent 4X4
The Grenadier offers reliable, instant traction on any surface with its permanent four-wheel-drive, enabling uninterrupted journeys across any terrain. This is powered by a Tremec transfer case and Dana Spicer CV joints and prop shafts.
